Locked away

All day in the office so I could navigate through the first of four days of promotions committee with several screens to see all the various documents. No one else was in so it was a slightly surreal days ploughing through the cases and then dashing to make drinks and rifle through cupboards for biscuits every couple of hours. A had taken a day’s leave so they could go to get a mortgage quote and drive around looking at different areas as potential places to live. They sent me this photo as they sat in the secret herb garden tea shop waiting for slabs of cake and hot chocolate….they had a lovely day and are now feeling drawn to Musselburgh as a location (although A still rather likes Peebles). They’re planning to do a day a week like this exploring different areas for the next couple of weeks.
I got some steaks on the way home and made a quick supper with salad. Actually felt less tired tonight, think it’s always better once the first day is done,,,,!
