The first day of school I can remember asking all the students to be quiet and get ready for the lesson. All of a sudden the sound of clucking starting coming from just outside the window. Sure enough there was a small cross section of a farm that survived the urban sprawl. Over the next couple weeks, I would look out the window to check on our feathery neighbors, until today I found that they were all gone.
