The world through a wonky mirror

This was a phrase of a good friend of mine. He was writing about his first impressions of Peru. My wonky mirror is on the Caledonian Canal. I think you can work it out. I was looking for the kingfisher I briefly saw yesterday. Nothing doing, as they say. I did some fine editing and can feel a book coming on which is nice.
