Luggie
Back Blip - one of several, so please bear with me!
A most pleasant walk with the Ramblers today at Luggiebank Wood nature reserve in Cumbernauld.
We met in the Town Centre and it's fair to say that the start and end of the walk through some of the less-than-scenic parts of the town could not be classed as highlights of the day. However, once we crossed the bridge at the railway station and reached the countryside, all was well.
The main path through the nature reserve follows the Luggie Water and there is an option to continue along another path and up into Palacerigg Country Park. We didn't do that today, but it might be something I'll try at some point in the future when I'm not out with the group.
