A Round of Applause Please
... for _______. (fill in your own blank)
Male tufted duck, Aythya fuligula.
All water-birds seem to do a bit of wing-flapping after preening and/or bathing. If you see such behaviour and want a blip, then you have time to focus on the bird and wait. However, set your exposure to about a stop underexposed because when the flap occurs, larger areas of light plumage will be exposed and could easily burn out.
