Large on Black to feel the "gloom"

We're back from our short break in Edinburgh - many thanks for all your birthday wishes to Deb, and your kind comments, stars and faves on my Kelpies pic from yesterday.

Having spent a lot of time in the car over 2 days, we thought a short walk was in order, although the weather wasn't too kind. We went round the back of Skiddaw, and climbed Brae Fell and Knott. After the huge and technical walk last Sunday, this felt a very short walk, but still ended up at almost 8 miles, but mostly on grassy (boggy) paths. Lighting was overly "subtle" at times, but I was treated to about 30 seconds of sunbeams through the gloom.
