Surprise flowers

Phin slept well all night and ate a good breakfast so I think it’s safe to say that he’s back to normal. Just need to start the insurance claim now!

Did a bit more tidying up and hoovering this morning before we headed out to the local gastro pub for lunch with Phin. We were meeting our son’s girlfriend’s parents Ian and Carol for lunch as they were in Edinburgh for the day. We’ve never met up with them without the ‘kids’ there but they’re such a lovely couple we knew it would be a good meal, and it was. Phin was mostly well behaved but obviously needed a pee as we were barely in the car park when he had to go.

We took him to Springfield Mill for a romp around and a swim in the river. Home to tackle the never ending pile of ironing before sausage, egg and beans for dinner.

I’ve had a lovely bath and a chat with our son and am now relaxing with a glass of wine.

Carol surprised me before they left by giving me this lovely bunch of spring flowers and a huge box of Belgian chocolate biscuits. First time I’ve had flowers to blip on a Friday for ages. Thanks to BikerBear for hosting.
