A trip to the seaside

The groynes on Aberdeen beach are there to ameliorate the effects of longshore drift which shifts the sand on this coast steadily northwards. They clearly haven't been working too well in recent years.
It was a wild and windy day with big waves rolling in. The windsurfers were in their element, see the extras.
