Animals

For my first live music in a long time I headed to the relatively plush surroundings of King’s Hall, Ilkley. 

The extant touring version of the Animals were in town, with original drummer John Steel (second from right) accompanied by some accomplished younger bandmates. Another British blues veteran, Zoot Money, was in support and joined the band on stage for the final number (furthest right).

The classics were faithfully performed: It’s My Life, Please Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood, We’ve Got To Get Out of This Place, Club Au Go Go and for the encore, of course, House of the Rising Sun.  A good night out.
