Lovely and Surprisingly Busy

Another cold start to the morning, followed by weather this afternoon warm enough to play golf...which I did. In long shirt sleeves, although it cooled considerably towards 5 pm. My friend Lori and I had a glass of wine at the restaurant afterwards and visited for a bit. And I was clever enough to order take out for dinner! And I played really (oddly enough) well! Despite a random ball in the pond sort of mishap.

Our gardener spent several hours today doing a spring clean up of old leaves and so on, and planted almost all of the plants in the new front garden. I've saved the small pots for me to plant tomorrow. Now that the big plants are in I can really have fun playing with the smaller plants to fill in!

Fortunately I caught this sweet tulip (looking sort of magnolia like) in the container by the front door this morning. I haven't gotten another shot all day, although I did think about the lovely lenticular clouds over Mt. Hood this afternoon while at the golf course....but there are power lines in the way :-(
