Tree Light

Late evening sunlight caught this tree behind our neighbour’s house tonight.

It’s been a depressing couple of weeks. First my oldest friend, Stephen, passed away, then another old friend, John Stahl, from my television years. And another this week, an American friend, Charles, whom we met here in France and stayed with in Denver during all my US tours.

Death, they say, comes in threes. Let’s hope that’s an end to it. Meantime I completed my first week of writing on the new book, death being a dominant theme.
