“Should I stay or should I go now?”

It is that time of year when I think it is time to clean the greenhouse in preparation for planting seeds.  As usual, there were a great many woodlice, a few snails and the odd slug.  (I use horticultural grit round every ground entry point, rather than slug pellets).  Every year there is always something more unusual hidden away if you really look and this time it was a beautiful lacewing.  It was determined to stay in the greenhouse despite my attempts at persuasion, so I have  left it there.  I just hope it has sufficient  food supplies.  Perhaps, I should add my overwintering geraniums? They always have a few insects to devour.
