The Twickenham Cage

If you come to the Rugby World Cup in 2015 and want to go home after about 8pm this is the view you get going into Twickenham Station. There is a plan to rebuild the station have some shops, a public space a riverside walk and of course remove this monstrosity. But of course to finance the plan they have to build a flats above the station which will be a couple of floors higher than most people would like. The council have approved the plans but the NIMBYs of twickenham, who managed to keep the old swimming pool site by the river derelict for 20 years , through their constant objections to change, are doing their best to thwart this as well.
