Frogfest

After lunch we took a walk round the Bush estate with Miss Flum, paying particular attention to the pond.

We spotted one frog then many others suddenly began to move around and croak to each other. I took several photos, among them those in the extra (top left and bottom row) and, as we moved round the pond, realised that they had been extremely busy (extra top right and main).and the water here was thick with spawn.

Our walk continued around the northernmost part of the estate and up a track to the main road before returning and passing in front of Bush House. By now we were feeling chilly, the warmer morning having given way to a cold breeze so we repaired to Miss Flum's house to warm up.
