The nervy time before the start…

A photo by Abbie, who went to Amsterdam to cheer on Pippa who competed this weekend in the Heineken Roeivierkamp, the traditional opening to the rowing season for the big boats. 2 weeks ago, Pippa didn’t even know she was competing as she is mostly rowing in a single scull. However, a combination eight with rowers of 3 clubs from Groningen was formed. They had a way better performance than anyone expected. In the end the came in on 7th place (of an international field of 21 ‘dames gevorderden’ crews) after 4 races over the weekend. Thank you Abbie for keeping us posted!
