Love is in the air!

I walked past the Natterjack pools this afternoon and they all looked empty at first and then I noticed a disturbance on the surface and then another .... and another. A careful look revealed lots and lots of toads mating, some in large groups. The shots are poor as it was later afternoon, so I will go back on a brighter day and see if I can improve them but I did feel very lucky to have seen them. I don't think these are Natterjacks but someone said they'd seen some elsewhere in the pool so I'll look out again.
