Hybrid Mallard Duck
We got two inches of snow here early this morning. Snow squalls went through the area causing dangerous whiteout conditions on the roads. Several expressways were closed due to major multi-car accidents, including a 30 car pile up. It warmed up to 46°F (8°C) late this afternoon, and most of the snow has melted away. Still without an image to blip, I decided to visit the ducks in my local park. This is another unique hybrid duck that is part of the river flock there. It is probably a cross between a white bibbed domestic duck, and a wild Mallard (Anas platyrhynchos).
