Sunny but cold day

We had matinee tickets for a show at the Kennedy Center and before the show we went up to the roof terrace and walked around: the view from up there is awesome: this is looking towards Georgetown.  It was blistery cold, but worth the trouble. 
The show - Written in Stone - was pretty interesting: four pieces.  I really enjoyed the 3rd one , 'It all falls down', and liked the second 'Rise'.  The last one 'The Rift', about the Vietnam Memorial, was a little bit too 'heavy', especially now with an awful war going on. It was a nice afternoon out of the house, so I am not complaining!
