MonoMonday: Opportunistic
My photo style could be described as “opportunistic”. I don’t have time to fiddle around searching for or setting up blips. I just hope a photo taken can be made to fit the theme. Thanks KangaZu for hosting this MM.
Today we flew to Flinders Island, just off the north east coast of Tasmania. I never thought I would charter a plane but it turned out to be cheaper than the commercial flight, more flexible and the other couldn’t offer a refund in the event of Covid disruption. So here we are ready for boarding. Note the life jackets already in place around our waists. As the planes fly so much lower there wouldn’t be time to retrieve them from under the seat in case of emergency!
When we arrived, after a 45 minute flight, we managed to locate our hire car in the car park with the key in the ignition ready to go.
Flinders is very quiet, especially as it is a public holiday here today. I think we saw about three other vehicles on a couple of hours drive around this afternoon. The two shops are closed but fortunately we brought a few supplies which will tide us over till tomorrow. And it’s pizza night at the pub :-)
