What a day!
I believe this is my 3,000th blip. Not sure how that happened , and as ever I am grateful for you all popping by and checking in on my sometimes sporadic posts.
So today we met 14 other Airedales at Hardcastle Crags for a walk in what was perfect weather for March. Two lovely blippers came to wave us off, https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2949768426245065296 which was lovely. Then I bumped into a customer from work and his lovely dog who has been a subject of my blips before . Great to meet fellow Airedale owners and educate the general public to the fact they aren’t labradoodles , schnauzer’s or giant Yorkshire terriers.
One lovely couple asked me if they were Airedales and said they were from Kent. I said I’d lived in Kent for 3 years and it turned out they lived in the next village to where I was at Uni (Wye college). So it was lovely to reminisce about happy days there.
Then I overheard someone say their dog, Amos, was fathered by Sherif’s Red Beret, who I knew was Reggie’s litter mate , Freddie. The extra photo is Uncle Reg and his nephew!
Popped into Hebden bridge on the way home to drop off some yarn and pick up some completed knitted goods and finally meet one of the ladies that knit for the group.
As you can see the photo breaks Blip rules as I didn’t take it, (Reggie and I are in there somewhere!) but I am sure you will forgive me today - but photo credit goes to Mr H .
