Solace Day 8 - Au Revoir

This is the view from the stern as we lock the door on Solace until we see her again, which won't be long. Thank you for coming along on our journey with us!

A thankfully uneventful trip home and a quick unpack of The Mate's Land Rover.  A bath, a meal and out again this evening to a talk at the local Wildlife Trust support group. It was on how the Trust has created wildlife  "corridors" along the verges in Cumbria, particularly along the A66 and the coast, havens for pollinators in their aim to Get Cumbria Buzzing. In just a couple of years they have replaced long grass with wildflowers and agreed a cutting policy with the council to ensure their seeds are allowed to ripen and fall.
