Project Day One

Our front door was looking decidedly worse for wear so decided to spruce it up a bit. I took all the brass bits off and covered them in a vinegar flour and salt mixture as they were really dirty. Never used that method before, but it works. Leave it in for as long as you need to, approx 20 mins, wash off and buff up.
I then sanded the door. Two coats of paint later and it looks like new. Tomorrow I shall paint the white surround. I love days like today when I feel I have achieved something.
