Mutton and Mud ......

A dry bright start which went down hill by this afternoon.
Kev on mucking out and bedding cows.
Me on the usual bagging up feed and various other things
Brian from Border Livestock was out at lunchtime with a couple of buyers from near Berwick upon Tweed to see the 20 limousin blks he is selling for me.
They seemed happy enough with the cattle ,so after a bit of discussion we agreed a price and hands were shaken,deal done. Hopefully they are getting picked up tomorrow.
An unscheduled trip into town this afternoon to pick up Littlemiss from school as she was unwell. She had her covid booster Jag yesterday so that will be the cause.
By the time we got home the sun had gone and it was tipping down.
Gareth decided to bring the first smote ewes into the shed tonight as the weather is so manky . There have been a few lambed during the last day or two so no doubt it will kick off if style if the weather is bad !
