Hair we go...

My nine-year-old daughter came with me to the hairdresser's today and I asked her get to work on a Blip.

The retro/cool salon in question is Alice Rocks in the west end of Glasgow. My good pal Dawn Murray has just moved her scissors there and has settled in nicely.

I've known Dawn since she was manager of Vidal Sassoon's in Glasgow's Princes Square.

Just before I went to see Dawn, I read a story in the Daily Record about 90-year-old Jean Miller, whom Dawn 'headhunted' to Sassoon's to work front of house when Jean was just a slip of a girl of 75!!

Dawn hadn't seen the story about Jean still going strong and was quite tickled with it. It tells the story of how Dawn 'spotted' her selling flowers in Princes Square.
