Soaring

I had a slow walk through the wood this morning watching the birds and was lucky enough to get a few shots of a jay looking down at me.  I also got my first picture of a chiffchaff in the far wood and a wren close to the pond.  As I walked back across the playing field a kite soared overhead and I got a quick shot of a cormorant.

This afternoon I have worked in the garden, moving a few primroses and cutting the edges of the front lawn.

There were two buzzards and a kite overhead this afternoon and this is definitely the best picture I've taken all day, but I must keep practising and hoping for something I can be proud of.

Last night's meeting was cancelled due to the pub being closed on Mondays and someone not checking before arranging to meet.  Rearranged for somewhere else next Monday.  Camera club tonight.
