Today's the day ........................ for the simple things in life

As the world at large goes increasingly crazy and 'man's inhumanity to man' plumbs new depths of ferocity, there's still comfort to be had in the everyday, simple things of life.

The natural world has no notion of politics and world domination.  Its overwhelming driving force is the need to survive and to create the next generation.  And despite mankind's interference in a great many of the natural processes of the planet, it will continue to be so.

There's a great deal of joy and wonder still to be had, in watching the delicate manoeuvres of a small bird coming to choose a peanut (or two) from a feeder outside a window .......................
