Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls! I probably took quite a few pictures that were better than this today, but I though it would be a bit silly to go all the way to the falls only to not upload a picture of them, so here they are!

Niagara is split right down the middle by Niagara River. The picture was taken standing on the US side, looking out into the Canadian side. In the foreground: Bridal Veil Falls and the American Falls, and in the background: Horseshoe Falls. Also notice the frozen staircase at the bottom.

Later in the day we drove across Rainbow Bridge into Canada and north on towards Lake Ontario. A very scenic drive along the river! The majority of houses we saw had no neighbours, but were instead completely surrounded by vineyards.

Crossing back into the US later in the evening was a little difficult due to the less than friendly border guard. Luckily, our hotel room looked straight across Rainbow Bridge and into Canada. It was nice to be able to look down on him, smug and comfortable in my tower of warmth.
