Pass the Parcel!

In case you can't read the words on the screen, they say: Walkie Talkies, First Aid Kits, Pass the Parcel.

I was at a training day for leaders and back ups organised by Haltwhistle Walking Festival Committee for us volunteers. I used to be the person running this sort of training, so it was a delight to sit back and watch someone else. 

The training was well devised, well structured and we enjoyed ourselves.

Catriona and Kevin were the main speakers, but here is Jan, who called in to bring the walkie talkies for people to try, not expecting to be a speaker!! She also devised the system of moving First Aid Packs from one walk leader to another. Here she is explaining a complicated very simple scheme that can't go wrong.


Factor in human error, of course!!


I saw people I have not seen for months or longer.

Ann and I went to Maureen and Brian's for lunch. Lovely to be with them again.
