Petrie Island

There was a nice softening of the weather today, so we decided (what with it being March Break and Ottawacker being at home) to go for a drive out East to Petrie Island.

It's actually the first time I have been there - I am ashamed to say - and while it clearly wasn't the greatest time of year to see it, it looked quite nice. May well make a return trip in the summer to see if the beaches support swimming or not. As it's downstream of the city and its appalling wastewater habits, it won't be after a storm.

Other than that, the general all-pervasive "meh" still prevails.
