Caerhays Castle
I had decided that today we were all going on a family outing to Caerhays Castle. The plan was to be up and at 'em so that Mum and I could go on one of the house tours.
We were on the road by 11.30 (pathetic I know) and went via the King Harry Ferry so that made it a true adventure! The walk up to the Castle alone was worth the visit. The trees and plants are stunning if Magnolias/camellias/azaleas/rhododendrons are your thing. They are mine so that's ok. I now have a giant list of ones I want. They also make my magnolia look pathetic! The house tour was very interesting too.
It was well past 5 when we left so we headed straight to Harbour Lights for tea - it is starting to look less impossible to never have too many buckets and spades though...
