Ice design

I wandered down to the long pond today. There is thin ice over most of it but right here by the dam it gets thin. It had this cool (no pun intended) shape in the edge. I managed to scare away 2 male and 1 female merganser from this only open water spot... Sorry guys! The males were so striking with their white and black head feathers. I'm not sure I've seen them before.
