A DAMP DAY

I needed to go down to the village today - not keen on going out though as it has been a damp, cold and rainy day. I took this shot of the main street - did it in black and white but decided to pick out the colour of the pink brollies outside the flower shop.

The football last night was exciting and Newcastle made a brave effort but in the end came away with a 1 - 1 draw. This wasn't enough to keep us in the competition so we are out of " Europe". Next match is on Sunday - the local Tyne Wear derby against Sunderland. This is a must win match - the rivalry between Newcastle and Sunderland is huge.
