Noisy!!

I was at Castle Espie this morning for another Generation Wild session with a school from Belfast. It was a great session with the children all working hard at the activities and having fun. It was getting noisy - not because of the children,  but because the Black-headed gulls are arriving for the breeding season. There weren't a lot there yet, but you could definitely hear them! The early arrivals get the first choice of nest site. 
We had a stressful start to our day, our lovely neighbour G was at the door in a dreadful state, she had lost her handbag!! A difficult enough problem on any occasion, but made especially difficult as she is due to fly off to Australia on Saturday to see her son and his family,  who of course she has not seen since before lockdown, and her passport was in the bag. Thankfully everything turned out OK in the end, and the bag was found,  but she did have a dreadful start to her day. I picked her bag up from where it was found, as she was in no state to drive, and all's well.
