Today was about windows.

The ten window formations in our home were replaced today. Some are similar in appearance, others different because building standards have evolved over time. The work was done by a long established local company who advised us well. Three squads came; grafters, good tradesmen with a good eye for detail. Quality products and finish. We’re pleased with the results.

I nipped out to walk our son and daughter-in-law’s dog. She enjoyed the jaunt. We only went round the streets and grassed areas, no farm or woods today. The window team took out and fitted the big window whilst I was away.  It took a bit of effort to manoeuvre it in. 

First Minister made her scheduled Covid19 statement in Scottish Parliament this afternoon; all remaining covid19 legal requirements will end as per planned timetable, with one exception; face coverings - this protective measure will remain in place a few more weeks. Record number of folks in hospital are testing positive ; very disruptive in NHS and society apart from anything else. Also high daily case rates within the present testing and reporting regime (virulent omicron sub lineage BA.2). We know many folks with covid19 just now or recently and have seen the disruption first hand.
