Quick cycle to town.  Mild but dull day.  Spotted the bike and sign this morning.  It translates as bikes will be removed.  Rarely enforced possibly because non-classics scholars park their bikes there. ;-D)

Managed to take hound for a walk before heavy rain began.  Noticed ochre sand on our wheelie bin which was Saharan sand as had been forecast yesterday.  Used to be a regular occurrence when I lived in the Med. 

Made lemon curd after lunch and a chickpea and vegetable sauce for dinner which we had with basmati rice.
Now chilling while the rain bashes the windows.

Great news about Nazanin Zagari-Radcliffe.  Nobody should be a bargaining chip for any government.  I fear her release is also part of this government's buttering up another oil-producing country. 

What abominable leaders some countries possess, including ours.
