In St Judes/Old Market
On my way home from my volunteer job at Fareshare. An area of social housing, projects for homeless people, a mosque, gay bars, and expensive artisanal bread shops. This little park is somewhere you walk through rather than play in, it seems. Though there is a basketball court just behind where I’m standing, which is much used.
I was delighted to see this striking display of daffodils in a perfect circle around the beautiful old tree. With blue anemones in random patches inside the circle. When they were planted, the gardeners couldn’t have known what blue and yellow means to us now.
