Uphill struggle

I guess most of the parents among you will recognise the metaphor in todays image.

A trip to Blaenau Ffestiniog and a ride on the Ffestiniog Railway although having begun on the train, we arrived at the end-station by car.

I read a book many years ago about the 'best of all possible worlds' where God made everything perfect, everything the same, equal for all and the sun always shone high in the sky. The inhabitants discovered by chance that difference can be better, imperfections allow us to appreciate perfection and sunsets can be very special. So today I tell myself that tomorrow the sun may shine.
