Prunus "Accolade"
After yesterday’s heavy downpours and grey skies, it's a treat to be blessed with blue skies and sunshine today, with lots more sun symbols on the weather forecast for the next week or two as well, which is great.
We have a flowering cherry tree in our front garden which I love, but find incredibly hard to photograph. It blooms towards the middle of March, which of course is quite a windy month, and sometimes the petals have almost all blown down before we have a sunny day.
So today, with the requisite sunshine and a beautiful blue sky as the background, and a fast shutter speed selected on my camera to cater for the breeze, I’m left with the task of finding a suitable spray of blossom to capture. Easier said than done, but I quite liked this one.
