#984... Magpie...

Yesterday I blipped a man riding a bicycle and a few comments were made about the black antenna thing on his helmet... This images is of a Magpie and the reason for the block antenna is that during their nesting season these birds swoop the heads of people that come unexpectedly near their nest... Hence you'll see many bicycle riders attach deterrents to their helmets... I remember as a child walking to and from school with an ice-cream container on my head with 2 big eyes on the top of it to stop the Magpies swooping...
