Lift Bridge Crosscut

On this Friday night, I've viewed a beautiful photo of a gin-&-tonic and another of Old Speckled Hen Ale in Portsmouth. So I thought I would show how I'm starting my Friday night: Lift Bridge Crosscut Pale Ale.

I live in a river town with a lift bridge that operates to let the boats pass when there's no ice on the river - thus the name of the small brewery in town.

Stillwater in the 19th century was a logging town, that's why the brew is called Crosscut Pale Ale, a crosscut saw being one of the most used tools of the loggers.

Cheers!
