Frogs & Toads

H and I took a walk on Kelling Heath this afternoon.  We hoped to find the adder again but I suspect that they had all left their shelter to go hunting.
We walked to the two ponds near the Kelling Halt station on the Poppy Line and there was plenty of breeding activity going on there.  The surface of the pond was dotted with heads of frogs and toads and it was delightful to hear their accompaniment of much croaking and squeaking.
We spent ages watching them getting on with the job of procreation...really good to see the signs of Spring.
