Evoking memories of Steve Irwin

Around at Alex Headland again due to strong southerly winds again. Spotted this surfer wearing a Khaki sunhat reminiscent of what Steve Irwin (Crocodile Hunter) used to wear out in the surf at "my" beach before he passed away tragically many years ago. He was an average surfer but much loved and respected. My wife in fact delivered Bindi Irwin as their mid-wife at the birth. She is often seen in file footage of the event. His passing was very sad/tragic.... What you saw on his wildlife specials is what he was like in real life....
