Thursday: St Brigid’s

I don’t know if it’s particularly my route to work but there are seem to be a lot of churches, and some pretty impressive ones at that.  This is St Brigid’s - it was a Roman Catholic church built to serve the (mainly Irish) English speaking catholic community of the Lower Town neighbourhood.  It was closed in 2007 and became an arts centre, although it looked distinctly closed down to me as I walked past.  I’d be really interested to see inside…….

I feel that my time in Ottawa is largely going to be around landmarks…..

The weather was a balmy 17 degrees today - infinitely better than the -13 of the weekend.
