In The Clouds

We rented a car for the day and drove up into the hills of central Gran Canaria heading for Mount Tejeda where the cyclists do the 'Valley of The Tears' one of the toughest cycling routes there is!  Such is the area entwined with cycling there is a beautiful piece of art in Artenara (see extra) of a cyclist.

The main photo is taken at The Roque Nublo and gives a good idea of being up in the clouds. Some of the roads you could hardly see infront. The temperature there was 6c and back in Maspalomas was 23c - quite a range over a distance of say 20 miles!

The last extra is from the Astrological platform a few miles out of Maspalomas. Gran Canaria is one of the best places for star gazing but with a full moon at present it's not ideal.
