Ukrainian Club

Our good friend Jon, who runs the Huddersfield Ukrainian Club, undertaking one of his many current media duties.

We dropped off various supplies; initially they were inundated with donations of clothes but they’ve now narrowed the list down to some very specific, urgently required items. Whilst we were in Home Bargains shopping from the list, I noticed lots of others doing the same thing. It’s a small thing but it helps with the feelings of powerlessness.

Jon’s family are in the east of Ukraine; he’s just got word via some friends in the US that they’re currently safe. He’s in utter disbelief at the senselessness of it. I can’t begin to imagine how he’s feeling.
