i'll rise again to catch the dawn

This is Mugi, the couch surfer I stayed with for two nights in Tokyo. He was a really interesting guy to talk to and his tatami room was filled from floor to ceiling with books. Mugi had welcomed a load of couch surfers in the past couple of years and all of us got the same treatment at the end of our stay. He took a picture of us taken from the same spot in his apartment. It resulted in a collection of completely different people, strangers really, but all of us passing through his tatami room during our travels in Japan. They were going to be exhibited pretty soon in a photography gallery which was very exciting.

I thought I'd put him on the other side of the lens for this shot.
