Before and After

A day of cleaning all my paving at the front and back of the house, which I reckon is about 50m sq. This morning I took advice from the company that sells the products Bradstone recommend you use. This is part one, cleaning with a pressure washer with the circular spinning attachment for patios (do NOT use a lance). Step 2 will be applying a specialist cleaner and Step 3 will be to apply a specialist sealant to protect it and mean less maintenance with potential associated damage. I took several breaks, including to watch the amazing Rachael Blackmore win a very exciting Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Day 732 / Day 23 of no Legal Covid Requirements in England (for my record only)
The ONS reported a sharp uptick in cases to w/e 12/3 in their weekly infection survey in private households. In England there were 1 in 20 with the virus (up); 1 in 14 in Scotland (up); 1 in 25 in Wales (up) and 1 in 14 in NI (uncertain outcome). The increases are driven by the BA.2 variant which is 1.4 x as infectious as the original Omicron and now accounts for 75% of all cases. England’s R no. is 1.1 to 1.4 (0.8 to 1.1 last week). 3.28m were estimated to have the virus in the UK, with increases across all age group and areas. A third of care homes in Norfolk have had to close due to Covid outbreaks, with the case rate in the county more than doubling in two weeks. In one care home almost all staff and 20 out of 23 residents tested positive on Sunday.
