Border country

Another crowded day, in general nearly always a good thing. Early morning haircut and then I drove Lorne’s mum and Islay dog to Peebles where Islay will stay while the others go off skiing.
S suggested I visit Dawyck Gardens and I had a glorious afternoon feeling as if I had entered another country in another season. Many of the azaleas and rhododendron were in full flower alongside the remains of the snowdrops. I must go back in a couple of months to see the blue Himalayan poppies.
