Thick snow

We have had +7 - +9°C maximum temperatures for a week except today, though cold nights (near -10°C), but it appears that the thickness of the snow in shadows hasn't changed much. I tried to make tracks to a few paths in the woods to help driving firewood home, but I could hardly get back the same tracks, as the snow was so powdery once the surface was broken. The traction was poor even with snow chains.
