Ben Nevis
Drove across from Inverey to Balluchulish today to see R and stopped for a short jaunt up Carn Ealasaid above Cockbridge on the way, for a bit of exercise to break the journey. A beautiful day for a drive across Scotland. Today's blip is a shot of Ben Nevis from Torlundy, with a telephoto lens, just as I was coming in to Fort William at about 5pm. NE buttress is on the left and Tower Ridge is on the right, behind the darker ridge in the foreground., with the famous Tower Ridge gap just right of the sunlight. This is a step over a gap in the ridge with jaw dropping exposure on either side. Approaching and exiting the gap are hardest parts of the climb. The extra is a blow-up of the gap and you can see some climbers crossing over, they must have had a fantastic view!
